After you place an order, you may receive an acknowledgement by email, SMS, WhatsApp, or other available communication method.
An order is considered accepted when The Read Write confirms the order for fulfilment.
The Read Write reserves the right to refuse or cancel an order in circumstances including:

- There is an obvious pricing or listing error.
- Payment has not been successfully received.
- The order appears fraudulent or unauthorized.
- Delivery to the provided address is not reasonably possible.
- There are circumstances beyond our reasonable control.
If an order is cancelled after payment has been received, the applicable amount will be refunded through the appropriate payment method, subject to the applicable refund policy.
6. Payment
Payments made through the Read Write website are processed using Razorpay, a third-party payment gateway.
Customers may be offered payment methods supported by Razorpay, including such methods as cards, UPI, net banking, or other payment options made available at checkout.
The Read Write does not store your complete card number, CVV, UPI PIN, banking password, or other confidential payment credentials on its servers.
Your payment information is processed through Razorpay's payment systems and is subject to Razorpay's applicable terms and policies.
An order will normally be processed only after successful confirmation of payment.

9. Cancellation, Returns and Refunds

25. Damage or Defect at the Time of Delivery
Customers are requested to inspect the book immediately upon delivery and, wherever possible, in the presence of the delivery person.
If a book is received damaged, torn, wet, materially defective, or otherwise damaged in transit, the customer must:
- Inform the delivery person immediately that the package or book has been received in damaged condition.
- Take clear photographs and a short video of the package and the damaged book, preferably in the presence of the delivery person. The photographs/video should clearly show the condition of the outer packaging as well as the damage to the book.
- Notify us within 7 days of delivery by contacting us through the designated customer-support channel.
- Provide the order number along with the photographs and video when submitting the complaint.
Claims of damage that are reported after the above period may not be accepted, particularly where there is no photographic or video evidence showing the condition of the package and book at the time of delivery.
The Read Write may request additional information or evidence where necessary to assess a damage claim.
Where a damage claim is accepted, The Read Write may, at its discretion and subject to availability, provide a replacement copy or issue an appropriate refund.
Important
Customers are strongly advised not to discard the packaging material until the condition of the book has been checked and any damage complaint has been resolved. The original packaging may be required to verify whether the damage occurred during transit.
